klondikesteve A name to keep?

What about my handle?  My sons girlfriend doesn’t like it at all.  Others have expressed their reservations about it too!  It sounds too wild or maybe too tame!  Where did Dakota Fred get his handle?  Are people with nicknames with places in them more devious?

I never had a nickname before.  My friends called me Steve!!!???

All the people who live in Dawson are Klondike Bob or Jim or Sue.

I wonder how they will take someone called klondikesteve???  I had a sour toe cocktail!  Do I have to spend a whole winter there?

I am not a worrier.  I will keep the handle!  I am interested to see what others think.

About moregold1

I have been involved with mining and related industries, since about 1982. My father liked prospecting, so my brothers and I went on a number of prospecting adventures, when we were young. I first visited Alaska in 1982, then mined there in 1983. I have been involved in different ways with mining in Oregon, California, Nevada, Guyana South America, and of course The Yukon Territory.

Well, calling yourself “Klondike Steve” certainly makes you seem like a sham and a liar. I would have gone with something like Functionally Illiterate Steve or Stupid Steve Garbage Face.

    see you in dawson,

Thank you for your comments. This was my first nick name and the news paper called me that. (They may have made the same observation as you???!!!). Oh yeh, you reminded me, stinky and stupid were used with my name in grade school. I look better without the hat.

The literacy comment… that one really hurts!

    Good ones!

Thinking you probably don’t wear red underwear (only) to dances in Dawson; am I right? 🙂

This old thing? I just wear it everywhere! So comfortable so chic!

It is really kind of embarrassing but I was going with a theme! At least I don’t wear a hard hat with it!

I will see if I can post some pictures on here. Learning curve!!!

If you could have held out until December, what a red fashion statement that would have been; a little white fur around your ankles…. poof…. you’re a fashion icon. A new image beyond the Gold Mining Man!!

I do need a fashion consultant. Being single and left to my own devises I will not likely start any trends! Your suggestions sound like they may be better received by the gay community though!
